Imajiru's Astrology: Natal Charts These charts were prepared using birthtimes that I felt were reasonably accurate for the characters of Mulder and Scully, given their personalities. Alex Krycek's birthday is entirely my own fabrication, based on what I've seen of his character and the way Krycek interacts with others. All charts on this page are heavily drawn from my own personal perspective of the characters. To see charts for Mulder and Scully calculated using nothing but information derived or inferred from the show, go here.
Fox Mulder This chart virtually screams of discord and doubt. The first aspect that stands out in this chart is the conjunction of Mercury, Mars and Neptune in the sign of Scorpio, denoting a skeptical and cynical nature. He wants to believe, but he doesn't quite dare; he is incapable of accepting anything at face value, always delving deeper, trying to find the true meaning, attempting to make sense of it all, even when there is no rational explanation to be found. The presence of this aspect on the ninth house cusp signifies a traveler, someone on an endless journey, a perpetual student whose quest for the truth continually guides him onward. Jupiter conjunct Saturn squaring his Sun accentuates this basic conflict. His life alternates between uncanny good fortune, and harsh, even cruel lessons; the repercussions of his actions always come back to him, and sooner rather than later, but he may be slow to realize this basic cause-and-effect, instead blaming it on external forces or 'bad luck'. The presence of Jupiter and Saturn in the twelfth house signify issues of imprisonment and restraint: this is where he feels he's being 'held back', by circumstances beyond his control, from achieving what he could or should achieve. His Sun in the eight house reveals an intense and passionate nature, about anything and everything. Uranus opposite Chiron, with the Moon squaring them both, shows a deep distrust of change; he dreads the passage of time, because he fears what it will bring. Accordingly, though his Sagittarius Moon may present a cheerful, even happy-go-lucky exterior at times, it's a cover for his deeper fears, and his inner certainty that no matter how well things seem to be going, he's sure to get screwed over in the end. Chiron in the first house indicates a quirky, unpredictable nature; a personality that makes him hard to like, but easy to love. As one might guess from the rest of the chart, his love life is a mess. Venus in Virgo tends to be extraordinarily picky, and though the Scorpio conjunction denotes great intensity of passion, his inherent distrust prevents him from allowing himself to get too close to anyone. Mysterious, enigmatic people draw him like a moth to flame, but provoke a sense of insecurity and instability; he is far more likely to find happiness with someone he knows completely and thoroughly, and trusts beyond any shadow of doubt. He's happiest in situations in which he can find answers, delve into unexplored mysteries and put the pieces together to his satisfaction. He has a great natural ability for this, and is only truly content when he can make sense of the inscrutable: it's the unanswered question that most undermines his stability, and leaves him feeling vulnerable and powerless. This is the great challenge facing him in life: learning when to trust, and how to trust, and who to trust; and learning to accept the fact that there are puzzles in life that cannot be solved.
Dana Scully This is the chart of a real powerhouse! The most prominent aspect is the Sun-Mars-Saturn conjunction in opposition to Uranus, emphasized by an opposition between Chiron and Pluto -- incredible energy and drive, she considers it a natural thing to throw herself wholeheartedly into achieving her goals. Life will have hard lessons to teach her, mostly because change doesn't come easily to her: she prefers to achieve her own changes, not have them thrust upon her by external forces. However, she will not have a choice in the matter; there will be surprises, lightning-quick alterations of things that she has considered the 'natural order' of things, forcing her to adapt and alter her patterns of thought and action. But in this process of adaptation lies growth - this is her life's challenge, and she has the ability to triumph over the obstacles that fate tosses in her direction. Contrasting with this single-minded energy and drive is a strongly sensitive, emotional nature -- the Sun-Mars-Saturn conjunction lies in the empathic sign of Pisces; and the Moon in Cancer is in its natural home, where emotional sensitivity is at its greatest. A grand trine affecting the Moon, Neptune and Chiron accentuates this tendency, causing her to feel things more acutely than others do. She may feel that this sensitivity is a weakness, undermining her effectiveness and sabotaging her energy and strength; she may try to shut off her feelings, developing powerful barriers to protect herself from being too easily led by her heart. She will need to strive for balance, with a conscious effort; this, too, is a challenge to be overcome as she walks down life's path. Strong planetary aspects in the sixth house almost always indicate a predilection for some aspect of medicine - doctor, nurse, veterinarian, paramedic. In this case, the aspect to Uranus in the twelfth house signifies a tendency toward the investigative side of the field. Pluto's presence in the twelfth house exacerbates this: she wants to unravel the inscrutable and transform the unknown into the known. Venus and Jupiter conjunct in Aries are a sign that she throws herself into affairs of the heart as singlemindedly as she pursues everything else in her life -- at least, when she allows herself to do so. She's ferociously loyal and immensely generous, with a strong jealous streak; and she's probably really, really good in bed. The eighth-house positioning of this aspect exacerbates the passion, the loyalty, the intensity; and the Moon on the cusp of the eleventh house indicates that her lover will also by necessity be her friend -- desire without an underlying connection of minds holds no appeal for her. With this conjunction squaring her so-sensitive Moon, she's suspicious of love, slow to lower her barriers and let someone get close to her -- but once she does, once she's decided to allow a prospective lover into her heart, she gives herself completely, and without restraint. She allows no deception; she's far too intelligent to accept falsehoods from others, and too self-aware to lie to herself. Despite her caution toward her own empathic emotional nature, despite her inherent distrust of change, she is strong enough to accept the truth about herself and the world around her. Her quiet power makes her a formidable ally, and an even more formidable foe: people may underestimate her once, but after they've witnessed her strength and resourcefulness first-hand, they will not do so again.
Alex Krycek The presence of two loose Grand Trines in this chart shows someone who is preternaturally lucky, surmounting obstacles that would defeat others, surviving catastrophes that would kill anyone else. Unfortunately, this kind of luck often keeps the person in question from realizing and acknowledging their mistakes, and learning from them... The quantity and quality of aspects in this chart indicate a person of great complexity and seeming contradiction. This person will engage in sexual activity casually, as a means of escapism or a form of barter or simply to pass the time, yet sex still retains deep meaning to him, as a means of affirming loyalty or friendship -- or power, or control. He is driven to seek freedom, new knowledge, to expand his horizons -- and yet the freedom terrifies him, as he never quite knows where the limits lie, or where he stands within them. Trust is and will always be a major issue for him; so while he seeks allies and friends to share that endless terrifying freedom with him, he never quite feels that he can rely on them. The Moon and Neptune in Scorpio on the fifth house cusp indicate a willingness to indulge in self-deception, to escape from harsh reality by whatever means might be necessary. However, an opposition between Uranus and Pluto in the third house and Saturn and Chiron in the ninth show that the situation isn't hopeless: he's capable of deep insight, and of learning the life-lessons that will enable him to keep from making the same mistakes over and over again. If he chooses to. He can charm the birds out of the trees, lie through his teeth and make it sound like the truth, and get by on sheer luck when other, more prepared souls have failed... but Saturn's luck is always paid for, by karmic debt; and whether he will find eventually that his survivor's luck is bought at too high a price is anyone's guess.
